About BLUE CARBON LIFE
Blue Carbon Life is a dive consortium of local and international freedivers who are planting mangroves to help further carbon sequestration worldwide. Propagule location, measurement, tracking and aquatic landscaping are all being implemented. Our dive club, Freediving Film Group, is spearheading the effort. Why just spend all your time spearing fish. Use your dive skills to help the planet. Founded by Matthew Da Silva-Lockie and his brother Alex Da Silva-Lockie, our dive club is planting mangroves in Brazil, in Rio De Janeiro , and in Florida on the Nature Coast in Hernando County. Our motto is "Dive To Preserve" and it is our belief that freediving, spearfishing, and extreme watersport projects don't need to be just another 'ego trip...look at me' exercise. It's about giving a helping hand to the children which will heal our world. Sometimes something as small and insignificant as a seed floating along on the tides can do a part to rebuild the local environment and save the planet.
